ASTD Atlanta: NE Atlanta/Athens GIG Event "From the Boardroom to the Classroom: Environments that Enhance Learning"

What's the best way to set up a room so that people can focus on a lecture? How do you change the room to encourage discussion? What if you want participants to get hands-on learning? Kristi Greer, Education and Development Officer for Oconee State Bank, will get participants up and moving in July. She will lead us through several logistical changes so that we can experience how the learning environment affects a captive audience. When we leave, we should all have new ideas about learning environment theory and--more important--experience.

From the West (Atlanta)

• Take 316 East and merge right onto the Ga 10 Loop.
• Take Exit 4 (Highway 441/15)
• Turn Right heading south on Highway 441
• Follow the road through 4 red lights passing the “Racetrac” Gas Station on your right.
• Make a u-turn at the next road (Woodridge lane) – before the next traffic light.
• Oconee State Bank Operations Center will be on the right along the Watkinsville By-Pass.  The center is just before the intersection at Hog Mountain Road.  (Free Parking)

From the South (Madison)

• Follow US 441 (business) North from Madison.

Oconee State Bank Operations Center will be on the right along the Watkinsville By Pass. The Center is just prior to the intersection at Hog Mountain Road.
